PM Shehbaz departs for two day official visit to Qatar

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed on Monday for a two day official visit to Qatar where he is scheduled to hold talks with the Amir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha. The prime minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and other federal ministers.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson the visit aims to further strengthen multidimensional cooperation between the two brotherly countries with particular focus on expanding energy collaboration and deepening economic engagement.

Focus on trade and workforce cooperation

During the meetings both sides are expected to explore new avenues for enhancing bilateral trade infrastructure development and facilitating greater export of Pakistani skilled workforce to Qatar. The leadership will also exchange views on evolving regional and global political developments as well as matters of mutual interest.

Officials describe the visit as a reflection of the deep mutual trust and enduring partnership between Pakistan and Qatar. Both countries are reaffirming their commitment to work closely for regional peace economic stability and shared prosperity.
