Deadly Assault in Minaz Locality
At least six members of a single family, including three children, were killed when unidentified armed men launched a deadly attack on a house in the Minaz area of Buleda tehsil, Kech district.
According to police officials, the assailants opened indiscriminate fire and also fired a mortar at the residence, causing massive destruction and loss of life. Three other family members sustained injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital. Some of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
Security forces cordoned off the area soon after the attack and launched a search operation to trace the perpetrators.
Rising Security Concerns in Gwadar and Kech
Police sources confirmed that an investigation is underway and authorities are examining the incident from multiple angles.
The tragic attack comes amid growing security concerns in the region. On February 16, unidentified armed men shot dead a man from Faisalabad in the Pishukan area of Gwadar.
In November last year, three bullet-riddled bodies, including that of a newly married man were recovered from Tump tehsil in Gwadar. Police had stated that the victim was abducted by unknown assailants and killed after refusing to pay ransom.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to bringing those responsible to justice as security operations continue in the affected areas.
