Iran has warned of a decisive response after the United States and Israel voiced support for anti-government protests triggered by worsening economic conditions. Tehran said it will not tolerate foreign threats or interference in its internal affairs amid rising regional tensions.
Defence Council Issues Strong Warning
Iran’s top defence body said it would deliver a “firm and proportionate response” to hostile actions. General Amir Hatami said escalating rhetoric against Iran posed a direct threat and would not go unanswered. The Defence Council stressed that Iran’s security, independence, and territorial integrity remain red lines.
Protests, Foreign Support, and Rising Tensions
The warning followed remarks by US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in support of protesters. Iran accused Washington and Tel Aviv of intervention and destabilisation. Officials said any aggression or interference would trigger a targeted and decisive reaction as protests over economic hardship continue.
