Salman Javed brings a wealth of experience in strategic communications, storytelling, research-media integration, diplomacy, and advocacy to his role as Director at Pak Afghan Youth Forum. Mr. Javed's educational background equips him with a comprehensive understanding of the issues shaping South Asia. He holds degrees from Punjab, and is an alumnus of University, National Defence University (NDU) Islamabad, Naval War College, and Harvard Kennedy School. These prestigious institutions provided him with expertise in defense, strategic studies, and public policy. For over 15 years, Mr. Javed has played a key role in shaping public discourse and advancing positive change. He has: ● Initiated and participated in several policy-driven institutes. ● Served as Senior Vice President of the Centre for Peace, Security, and Developmental Studies in Karachi. ● Contributed to the conceptual foundation of DBTV web television service. ● Launched "Voice of Balochistan" in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan. ● Co-founded "Mere Log," a youth-led philanthropy and rehabilitation platform, and the Centre for Strategic and Contemporary Research. ● Helped launch "Stratagem," one of the first electronic magazines featuring social science research. ● Founded and currently serves as Director General of the Pak Afghan Youth Forum, promoting peace and understanding between Pakistan and Afghanistan. ● Currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Maritime Study Forum.
