The situation in the Middle East has intensified dramatically after Israel reportedly targeted Tehran, the capital of Iran. According to Al Jazeera, citing a U.S. official, the United States and Israel are conducting joint coordinated actions against Iran. The development marks a significant escalation in regional hostilities.
Israeli Defense Minister Declares State of Emergency
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz described the operation as a “preemptive strike,” stating that the move was necessary to neutralize imminent threats to the state. Following the strike, a “special state of emergency” was declared nationwide. According to the spokesperson of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), all regular activities across the country will remain suspended from 8:00 a.m. Saturday, with only essential services allowed to operate. Schools, public gatherings, and most offices have been closed.
Fears of Large-Scale Retaliation
Security officials have warned of a potential large-scale retaliatory response from Iran involving missiles and drones. Citizens have been instructed to remain in protected areas and follow official safety advisories. The unfolding situation has raised serious concerns about a broader regional conflict.
