Pakistan’s leading fashion and apparel brand Maria B has officially entered the Bangladeshi market with the opening of its first international flagship store in Dhaka. The launch marks a historic milestone, making Maria B the first Pakistani fashion brand to establish a physical retail presence in Bangladesh.
The flagship store has opened at Center Point Shopping Mall, a well-known retail destination in the capital. The store features Maria B’s latest collections and highlights a blend of contemporary fashion with traditional Pakistani craftsmanship.
A Milestone for Pakistani Fashion
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Maria Butt, Founder and Chief Designer of Maria B, described the occasion as deeply meaningful. She said opening the brand’s first international store in Bangladesh had long been a personal goal. She emphasized the strong connection the brand shares with customers across the region.
Maria Butt stated that the brand aims to offer Bangladeshi women a refined mix of Pakistani culture and modern design. She added that the store reflects the brand’s commitment to quality, elegance, and innovation.
Strengthening Regional Fashion Ties
The opening ceremony attracted a large and diverse audience. Guests included representatives from Bangladesh’s fashion industry, social media influencers, and fashion enthusiasts. The store saw strong footfall from the first day, signaling high consumer interest.
Fashion industry experts believe Maria B’s expansion will strengthen commercial and cultural ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh. They say the move could encourage greater collaboration within the South Asian fashion industry.
Analysts also view the development as an important step for Pakistan’s fashion sector. They note that local brands are increasingly expanding beyond domestic markets to build international recognition.
The Dhaka flagship store represents more than business growth. It reflects a broader trend of regional fashion integration and cultural exchange across South Asia.
