A team of specialist doctors from leading hospitals in Islamabad conducted a medical examination of former prime minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Saturday, focusing primarily on his reported eye condition.
Officials confirmed that the medical board used modern diagnostic equipment and necessary medicines to conduct a detailed examination under strict security arrangements. The jail superintendent said all necessary arrangements were made to ensure a comprehensive health review, adding that the medical board would submit its report to the relevant authorities after completing the evaluation.
Separately, sources indicated that Khan was briefly shifted to Al-Shifa Hospital late Friday night for further assessment of his eye condition. The procedure reportedly lasted around 20 minutes, after which he was returned to the jail. Hospital authorities are expected to release an official statement regarding the visit.
Officials maintained that all medical procedures were carried out in line with prescribed rules and security requirements, while developments related to the former prime minister’s health continue to draw public and political attention.
