Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to attend the upcoming Board of Peace meeting in Washington, D.C. on February 19, where he will represent Pakistan in person at the high-level international gathering. The visit is expected to reinforce Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement on global peace, security, and regional stability.
According to official sources, the prime minister is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on February 20. The meeting is likely to focus on strengthening bilateral relations, regional security cooperation, economic engagement, and matters of mutual strategic interest.
Before arriving in Washington, Prime Minister Shehbaz will undertake a bilateral visit to Vienna on February 16. The Vienna stop is expected to include discussions aimed at enhancing diplomatic ties and expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and multilateral forums.
Officials suggest that the Vienna engagement will serve as an important diplomatic prelude to the Washington meetings, allowing Pakistan to consolidate its outreach with key international partners.
