Security Restored in Islamabad as Forces Vow Zero Tolerance

Senior Leadership Reviews Situation on Ground

Order has been fully restored across Islamabad following decisive security measures, as senior military and security leadership reaffirmed the state’s resolve to act firmly against terrorist and criminal networks. According to an official statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the General Officer Commanding (GOC) and Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) personally visited multiple areas of the city to review the security environment.

During the visit, senior officers interacted with local residents, assessed ongoing operations, and evaluated coordination among security and law enforcement agencies. The engagement aimed to reassure the public, reinforce confidence in state institutions, and ensure that normal life continues without disruption. Authorities stressed that visible leadership on the ground sends a clear message that peace and public safety remain top priorities.

Residents largely welcomed the visit, describing it as a positive signal that the state is actively engaged and responsive to emerging security challenges rather than relying solely on behind-the-scenes measures.

Zero Tolerance Against Terror and Criminal Networks

Security officials confirmed that individuals involved in acts of terrorism, targeted violence, and criminal activity—including bank looting—will be dealt with strictly under the law. These elements have been identified as operatives of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and facilitators linked to RAW-backed networks seeking to destabilize the region and intimidate civilians.

The ISPR statement noted that intelligence-based operations have been intensified, inter-agency coordination has been strengthened, and surveillance of sensitive and critical areas has been enhanced. Officials emphasized that there will be no space for armed groups, their facilitators, or propaganda networks attempting to exploit instability for sabotage or unrest.

Security forces reiterated their commitment to protecting lives, property, and economic activity. They also stressed that the writ of the state will be upheld at all costs, and any attempt to challenge public order will be met with swift and decisive action.

With calm restored and operations continuing, authorities maintain that sustained vigilance and public cooperation remain essential to preserving long-term peace and stability in the capital.
