Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to discuss the rapidly escalating situation in the Middle East. In a statement shared publicly, Sharif described Erdoğan as a “very dear brother” and emphasized the importance of close coordination between Pakistan and Turkey during a period of heightened regional instability.
The leaders exchanged views on the evolving security environment and underscored the need for diplomatic engagement to prevent further deterioration of peace in the region.
Condemnation of Israeli Attack on Iran

Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to play a constructive role in promoting de-escalation, dialogue, and peaceful resolution of disputes. Both sides agreed that maximum restraint by all parties is essential to avoid a wider conflict that could destabilize the Middle East.
Focus on Regional Stability
In addition to the Middle East crisis, the two leaders discussed recent developments in Afghanistan. They resolved to maintain close and frequent contact in pursuit of shared goals of peace and regional stability.
The conversation reflects the strong strategic partnership between Pakistan and Turkey, with both countries seeking diplomatic solutions and advocating restraint in an increasingly volatile geopolitical environment.
