A fresh and alarming wave of terrorism struck the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa early this morning as terrorists launched a coordinated Suicide Attack on FC Headquarters in Peshawar. The violent assault targeted the main gate of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) Headquarters located in the sensitive Cantonment area, shaking the city with loud explosions that were audible several kilometers away. This brazen attempt to breach a high-security zone has placed the entire city on high alert, with additional contingents deployed to safeguard sensitive installations across the metropolis.

The incident began at dawn when a suicide bomber detonated explosives at the entrance, successfully destroying the main gate. The martyrs have been identified as Havaldar Alamzeb Khan of Platoon 277, Sepoy Riazat Khan of Platoon 478, and Sepoy Altaf Khan of Platoon 277. Their sacrifice was pivotal in thwarting the attackers’ malicious objectives. In addition to the fatalities, eleven individuals, including both security personnel like Sepoy Arshad and Lance Naik Zahir, as well as civilians, were injured during the Suicide Attack on FC Headquarters Peshawar.

Following the conclusion of the intense gunfight, rescue teams rushed the victims to Lady Reading Hospital, where an emergency was immediately declared to treat the wounded. Hospital administration confirmed receiving the injured, who are currently undergoing treatment, with Deputy Commandant FC Javed Iqbal visiting to inquire after their health. Meanwhile, the Bomb Disposal Unit arrived at the scene of the Suicide Attack on FC Headquarters in Peshawar to secure and clear the area. They recovered heavy weaponry, hand grenades, and suicide jackets from the neutralized terrorists. Authorities have been conducting controlled explosions to safely destroy the recovered materials, advising the local public to remain calm during the process.

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, paid tribute to the martyrs, asserting that their blood would not go in vain and that the fight against terrorism would continue with renewed resolve. CCPO Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed also praised the timely action of the troops. The terrorist group Jamat-ul-Ahrar claimed responsibility for the attack.
