Bacha Khan University Expels Four Students Over Anti-State Conduct

Disciplinary Measures for Policy Violations

Bacha Khan University (BKUC) has taken disciplinary action against four students from the Pharmacy Department for violating university rules and engaging in conduct contrary to institutional policies. The University Disciplinary Committee, in its 73rd meeting on February 13, 2026, recommended their expulsion, a decision approved by the competent authority.

The students were found to have raised slogans against the State on campus and performed India’s national anthem in a manner deemed provocative, recording and sharing the video on social media. The university stated that such actions disrupted campus decorum and breached both university and hostel regulations. Following the decision, the students’ hostel accommodations were cancelled, and they were instructed to vacate immediately. Notifications were sent to relevant authorities, including the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Chief Security Officer, and Head of the Pharmacy Department, to ensure prompt implementation.

Commitment to Discipline and Campus Values

A university spokesperson said, “Bacha Khan University is committed to maintaining a respectful and disciplined campus environment. Students are expected to follow institutional rules and uphold national values. Any conduct that affects campus harmony will be addressed according to university policies.”

The incident has sparked discussion within academic and public circles, underscoring the importance of responsible conduct on campus. BKUC’s actions reflect its ongoing commitment to preserving the integrity of education, institutional discipline, and the broader principles of civic responsibility.
